About Me
Several years ago, I started taking some medications to control an allergic reaction to the pets in my home. These medications caused my mouth to dry out and my gums soon started to hurt. The tissues bled when I flossed and I could see the gums starting to swell. I initially felt that I needed to take better care of my teeth and I made an appointment for a cleaning. During the appointment, the dentist informed me that a dry mouth could cause gum disease. I learned about the importance of saliva and how the fluid rinsed food, plaque, and bacteria out of the mouth. I also learned how to keep my mouth moist. Many medications can cause a dry mouth and this can place your teeth and gums at risk of forming infections. Starting exploring my blog to learn how you can avoid medication dental concerns.
